In this digital age, everyone has at least one mobile device with them almost 24/7. In addition to phones and tablets, many people also carry around headphones for listening to music, audiobooks, and other recorded content when they’re away from home. While most people prefer in-ear headphones or earbuds as opposed to speakers or larger headphones because they’re compact and portable, it can be challenging to choose the right pair of headphones depending on your needs. Even if you think you know what you need in a pair of headphones, there are plenty of factors that should be taken into consideration before making a final decision. In general, there are two types of headphones: wired and wireless.
How To Connect Airpods To A Lenovo Laptop?
- Your AirPods are already paired with your iPhone or iPad.
- Open the “Settings” app on your iOS device and go to “Bluetooth” in the top-left corner.
- Select “AirPods” from the list of devices that appear in the lower-left corner of this screen.
- Tap on “AirPods” to confirm that you want to connect your AirPods to your Lenovo laptop. You will see a message appear at the bottom of this screen letting you know that they are connected successfully (see image below).
- Tap on “Connected” and then tap on “Disconnect” in order to disconnect your AirPods from your Lenovo laptop.
- Now, open any video, music, or other audio app installed on your Lenovo laptop, and then open the “Settings” menu by tapping on its icon in the upper-right corner of this screen.
- In this menu, tap on “Bluetooth,” and make sure that both Bluetooth and Wireless are turned ON (you will see a checkmark next to both options).
- Turn off any audio source playing on your Lenovo laptop. You can do so by selecting it from the list of audio sources in this menu (see image below). For example: if you have an album playing through Spotify, you would select it here rather than selecting “Play Audio” directly from the main menu.
- Place your AirPods on your ear and wait for a few seconds before turning on any audio source again. You should see the AirPods icon appear in the list of devices that appear on this screen (see image below).
- Now, select “AirPods” from the list of audio sources that appears and you will hear it through your Lenovo laptop.
Why You Can’t Connect Airpods To A Computer
- If you have a Lenovo laptop with Bluetooth enabled, then you should be able to connect your AirPods to your Lenovo computer.
- However, if you are using an older model or a different brand of laptop, then the chances are that it has no Bluetooth technology installed.
- In this case, you will not be able to connect the AirPods to your Lenovo laptop.
- If this is the case, then try connecting them to another device (such as an iPhone or iPad) and see if that works for you.
- If you are still unable to connect to your Lenovo laptop, then try restarting it and see if that helps.
- If all else fails, then you may need to buy an adapter, which can be purchased online or in some electronics stores. This will allow you to connect your AirPods to your laptop.

How To Connect Airpods To A Laptop With No Bluetooth Connectivity
- If you have a Lenovo laptop without Bluetooth technology installed, then you will need to buy an adapter in order to connect your AirPods. This can be bought online or at electronics stores and costs between $10 and $15.
- Once you have bought the adapter, plug it into the same port that was used when you first connected your AirPods to your laptop.
- Now, open Settings from the Start menu on your Lenovo laptop and go to “Bluetooth” > “Add Device.”
- Even if you don’t see a new device listed yet, don’t worry; this is normal as most adapters take some time before they are recognized by your computer (this may take up to 30 minutes). In addition, there may be other devices that are already paired with this adapter (such as another device that was previously connected).
- Once you see the new device listed in this menu, select it and make sure its name is set correctly (if it isn’t already). You will see a list of all of the devices that are currently paired with this adapter appear on this screen (see image below). This list will include all of the different devices that were previously connected via Bluetooth as well as any new ones added after purchasing an adapter for your Lenovo laptop.
- Now, go back to Settings from the Start menu and select “Bluetooth” > “Add Device.” If you already have a device listed in this menu, then select it and make sure its name is set correctly (if it isn’t already).
- Select “Yes” when prompted by Windows if you are asked to confirm the addition of your new adapter (see image below).
- Now, go back to Settings from the Start menu and select “Bluetooth” > “Stop All.” This will disconnect any other devices that may be connected with your adapter.
- In this case, your Lenovo laptop should now be able to detect your AirPods when they are next connected to it via Bluetooth.
- If your Lenovo laptop cannot detect your AirPods, then you may need to restart it. To do this, press the power button on your laptop and immediately hold it down until you see a Windows logo appear on the screen (see image below).
